An Advocate for Working Families
Ram Villivalam was born and raised on Chicago’s Northwest Side, and he still lives there with his wife, Elizabeth, and their sons, Rohan and Lokesh.
As the son of Indian immigrants, Ram knows what it means to struggle and work hard. His parents came to the United States in the 1970s, working minimum-wage jobs to support their family while going back to school. His mom spent 34 years in public service, ending her career at the Metropolitan Water Reclamation District.
